Why are you doing what you are doing?

Why are you doing what you are doing?
Why do you want to do what you want to do?

I hear this reply sometimes,
"I like to do it and there is a great demand for it. "

and Reasons like

People need me.
People need my service.
People just don't get it, they need my message.
They need to be more productive.
They are in a bad shape.
They are suffering.
They will go bankrupt.
They will fall sick.
They will die.

There is a flaw in doing what you want to do because of reasons like above.
The reasons seem reasonable, right? There is a demand and I can successfully fulfill the demand. What's wrong with that?

Guess what.. People may never get you or your message.
They fall into a bad shape, go bankrupt, fall sick and die for various reasons.
Things are the way they are for various reasons.
Those reasons are beyond us.

Ofcourse, it is a good idea to check if there is a need for it, a demand for it, but that alone should
never be your driving factor.

It's good to help them but not because of their state but because of your state.

If you do because you want to do, then results won't matter or affect you.

If you do because you want to do, you will continue to help no matter what.

If you do because you want to do, you live from your being.

If you rely on the state of the receiver to do what you want to do, they dictate your ability to do.

If you rely on your desire to do, then you will keep doing it for as long you desire and nothing can stop you.

Simply, Your reason to do what you want to do must come from inside you

Because,
that is the only time, the only time
when you can do your best.
